| Can't Run dBase after Install |
 |
Mon, 13 Aug 2007 23:42:57 -040 |
I just updated to the latest dBase tonight.
I.E. Purchased & Downloaded.
During installation I got a message:
Read Only file:
c:\windows\system32\mfcans32.dll
Overwrite?
I choose Yes and installation continued without errors.
However when I try to start dbase from the Windows XP start menu
Nothing Happens.
I am using Compact PC with Windws XP Home service pack 2 & latest patches
installed.
I really wanted to play with all the new features tonight.
My previous version was dB2K....very old.....
Suggestions?
Thanks,
Tom

Tom,
Did you install the program while logged on as a user with Administrator
rights?
Try reinstalling and see if that helps.
