I recently got a new computer. The state IT dept installed my software on the
new machine for me. When I was checking it out, I noticed that I have 2 BDE on
it. One is at c:\program files\Borland\Common Files\BDE and the other is at
c:\program files\common files\borland\bde. The first one is version 4.5.1.4 and
the second is version 5.2.0.2.
When I open dbase and go to Help, About, it says
DBASE Plus 2.6.0.0 b1899
BDE 5.2.0.2
So I assume it is using the correct BDE. Should I delete the 4.5.1.4 version?

Linda,
Do you have any older version of dBASE or older applications? That might
be the reason why they did what they did. However, you can delete it if
you want. By the same token, I don't see any harm in leaving it. It
doesn't take much space and dBASE is clearly picking up the correct
version.

Thanks. I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't cause a problem.
