Install dBaseIV on Vista

Install dBaseIV on Vista
Sun, 06 Jan 2008 15:25:13 -050
Hello,

Has anyone tried to use DOS dBaseIV Ver2 software with Vista (Home premimum)
operating system?

I tried it and the system seem to tell me :
1. That I cannot have full screen to display
2. Code page is incorrect and therefore not able to run codes previously written
in dBaseIV. (I tried dbsetup and set ldcheck to off and still same)

any idea if there is a solution to these?

George

George,

I believe there is a way to fix both things, but I don't know how. If
you don't get an answer here in another day or so, ask again in the
dbase.programming news group. Be sure to describe how you are installing
the program as that might give a clue as to how to get the right code
page.

In Windows XP you can get full screen by opening the program and then
hitting ALT+ENTER. I don't have Vista so I can say if it will work the
same there, but it is worth a try.
