Hi,
Is there anyway to imrpove the speed of a dBase IV application running under
Windows XP Pro SP2 ?
PC is a P4 running at 2.8 GHz and has 1 Gig of Ram and large HD.
Database files stored on Networked Drive

Garry,
How big are your tables and what are you doing with them that you want
to speed up. Generally, the DOS versions ran as fast if not faster than
the Windows versions.

Like Geoff said, dBase IV usually flies on modern hardware, no matter
what the OS. IME, network speed is usually the most limiting factor.
Also make sure you have appropriate indexes for any searching and
sorting you do.
