Hi all,
I have wriiten a small application in dbase Plus for my own cybercafe to
calculate the time spent on the PC by clients. Simply put, they dbl click a
Login icon on desktop, and the time is recorded and then when they logout
(another icon) the end time is recorded and the amount to pay is calculated
according to time x rate/time. This is all ok, BUT my ISP charges me according
to downloaded bytes and not time -- So, I need to know the bytes transferred
(upload + download) by the PC to the internet so that I can charge accordingly.
Eg. Network Neighborhood Properties tells us the bytes transferred, but I want
to capture those numbers programatically.
I was suggested the net stat command, but it seems to reflect the changes after
a delay of 8-10 mins.
Any help appreciated.
