| runtime lockup |

A couple of days each month we have a problem with people locking up
multiple instances of the PLUS.exe runtime. We are an insurance broker and
our online quoting system runs on dBase. Most days we have no problems at
all; and, other days, like today, we have lockups about as often as I can go
in and unlock them. Typically the lockup will occur when they are trying to
log into the system. Can anyone tell me what is causing this and/or how to
correct it?

Dan,
Just so others have more information to make suggestions, can you tell
us which version of dBASE you are using and which version of Windows is
on the server?
I think someone (Robert Bravery?) had a little program that could run in
the background and kill waywards runtime processes. It was originally
meant for the older versions of dBASE which had this problem quite
often.
I don't know enough about the web programming, but there might be some
.INI or _app settings that you can use to help. One I spotted is
_app.terminateTimerInterval.

My dBase Plus is version 2.6.1.3, my server is running Windows Server 2003
and the web server is Apache 2.0
