Remote Access
Mon, 07 Jan 2008 19:44:46 -050
I have a client who is attempting to run a program I created in dBASE Plus 2.5
from a remote computer. Her server is running 2003 server, and she logs in as
supervisor with all rights. When she goes to start my program, the splash bitmap
fires and than nothing after that. No error messages, nothing. Any suggestions?

Thank You

Dan,

This is only a guess, but it may be the DEP issue. It is described here:

http://www.goldenstag.net/dbase/

and the way to turn it off is described here:

http://howto.landisc.com/dep.html

http://howto.landisc.com/dep.html was changed to show it both ways.

Christopher,

Many thanks for writing that up. DEP has become such a regular issue
that I refer people to your page quite often.
