view files

Why do I get an error message saying "File is already open" in a
program 
that uses 'view files' within 'case structure'. Sometimes it works & 
sometimes I get the error message. Any thoughts???

I suggest you post this again in the Programming newsgroup, preferably 
with some specimen code so others can see better what you are doing.

Where is "Programming newsgroup" and how do I get there?

Joseph,

You are in the dbase.knowledgebase news group. If you don't see 
dbase.programming as another news group on the same server, then you 
have not yet subscribed to it. Whatever steps you used to subscribe to 
this news group you can repeat for dbase.programming (and 20 or so 
others). I /think/ if you are using Outlook Express, on the menu bar you 
click on Tools | Accounts then on the "News" tab and then the
"Add" 
button and follow the wizard.
