Anybody have a "simple" write up on using MS SQL 2005 with dbase?  How

to setup the server?  How to connect with odbc? etc...

That is excellent, but I could use a little more pre-installation-help. 
  I can't figure out how to install the odbc files?  I did not install 
sql server on my own workstation, instead I installed it on a test

Also, I recommend to get free downloads of:
- Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio Express
- Microsoft SQL Server Configuration Manager

They can be downloaded from the Microsoft website. (I don't have a link, try 
Google).
