Windows Server 2003 ...?

Windows Server 2003 ...?
Tue, 31 Jul 2007 14:22:45 -070
I have someone who installed an app that works great, using my standard
deployment stuff, on a Server 2003 app, and it doesn't run.
Unfortunately the guy hasn't told me if he got any error messages (and I
have to wait until he gets home from work to hear anything).

I assume at last some of you have deployed apps to Server 2003 (or
whatever the damn OS is called). Any issues you've had to work around?

He probably has the DEP(Data Execution Prevention) issue. If the app
doesn't run at all then that would be my first guess. It has been discussed
several times in the past. Do a search in Windows XP or Windows server 2003
help and support feature. If he has it set to check all apps then you need
to set an exception for the plus runtime.

This has been posted several times :D

This should give you some insight along with the DEP.

Sorry, sometimes if you don't have the issue you skip over it, and THEN
it bites you in the ...
