I try to use PageXofY.CC on my report and
it seems that it needs to render the .rep but I want my .rep to be
previewed in preview.wfm first
is there a way to skip/hide the rendering process ?

Sorry, but no ... it has to render the report to a temporary file to
determine the number of pages, so it can tell you that information as
the "of Y" part of the text.

It shouldn't be showing the choose printer form. But it will show the
"Printing" dialog, which I have no control over. Why is it popping up
the chooseprinter dialog?

sorry, my bad. it's my fineprint dialog , not chooseprinter.
