Hi
Having been inspired by Kens book on reports I have switched away from
Crystal 8.5 to see how I get on with the dBase report writer.
Losing forms completely in development is very rare which is probably due to
my better knowledge of the program and improvements in dBase itself.
However in the report writer I have lost so many reports that it reminded me
of my novice days with writing forms.
It would save a heck of a lot of time if the automatic backup which only
keeps one copy could be changed to store backups with the format
filename.(1).rep etc. giving a range of backups to fall back on. Probably 5
copies would be sufficient but I would be very happy with 9
In the meantime I am using this as a method of storing copies manually.

Hi Brian. I submitted this as QAID 6309.
I put in a request to do this for both forms and reports.
Thanks, Kathy
