Project list
Mon, 11 Feb 2008 19:33:43 -050
Good Morning
Is it possible to have a list of the files that are called when
building/compiling the project (as opposed to the list that shows what files are
available).Dbase IV(l think) used to have a list that showed what files were
calling what. Over a period of time you add files, delete files and sometimes
you forget to include new files that you have created for the project in your
application. l hope this make sense of what l am trying to say.(Or does the
project manager allready include this and l am missing it.

Rob,

If I understand your question, then the answer is "YES", the Project
Manager keeps track of what is deployed. That is one of its primary
functions.

You can open yourProj.prj file in the source editor if you want to see
what it contains.

when you "Build" your project that you can get a mapping of the
programs being used. l'm fairly sure back in old DOS dbase when you built the
exe you could get a printout of programs being used and in the printout showed
which programs used a particular program.

I believe this is in the wishlist.

The problem is in determining what is in each program. I wrote a routine
for documenting an application that is in the dUFLP. What it does is
create a list of all references to external programs. It may help you
out ... go to the dUFLP and check out AppDoc.wfm. It lists *all*
dependencies it can find, based on standard dBASE language commands.

You may be remembering a third-party tool called "SNAP" (I think that

was what it was called, I never used it).
