Offline Access To KnowledgeBase

Offline Access To KnowledgeBase
Sun, 30 Mar 2008 12:32:11 -070
Hello.

I would like to have a copy of the KnowledgeBase available for offline
access. In other words, accessible when I cannot be connected to the Web.

The KnowledgeBase used to be distributed with the CD for dBASE. This was
very convenient because there are many occasions where online access is not
possible. For example, on my laptop when I am at a client's site and they do
not allow wireless or LAN access.

This weekend provides another example. The dBASE website was not available
because of maintenance.

An offline copy of the KB does not need an exact duplication of the webpages
which list each topic category, say, Advanced Topics. Just the listing of
links to articles for each category; no need for the titlebar or sidebar
links.

Thank you for your consideration.

Cecil,

In the meantime, if you want, there are programs which allow you to
download entire sites or portions of them. You could use one of them to
download that section of the dBASE site. I don't know of any particular
ones that I can recommend, but I know they exist.
