Reverting to Warp gui style

Reverting to Warp gui style
Mon, 18 Feb 2008 10:04:33 +000
I've been using ECS 1.2R for a while and one thing I don't like about it
is the gui style. I would like to revert to a Warp scheme but can't see
how to. Can anyone help.
Thanks

If the above means that you are looking to change the appearance then I
suspect you are looking for Local System -> System Setup -> Appearance
-> Icon Themes which contains some Warp themes.

If, however, you mean that you want a Warp Desktop as opposed to the eWP
Desktop I'm not sure how you would uninstall eWP but guess there must be
a way...

I don't see an "Icon Themes". However, I have had the opportunity to
look at another ECS installation and I can get the settings I want on
that. I
suspect the installation in question is faulty and may be missing some
icons. I recall that installation (on a Thinkpad 600E) took several
attempts with different problems occuring each time for no apparent
reason. The final attempt seemed to finish but ended with yet another
system hang. Looks like I am merely "getting away with it" rather than

using a sound system. If I get sufficiently annoyed, I will try
executing some of the programs associated with missing icons in the hope
of fixing the gui appearance. I don't fancy yet another installation
attempt.
