WPS-Wizard V0.6.1a3 is available (24.03.2008)
---------------------------------------------

Note: This is a test release so please don't upload it to other servers.

For those with a working V0.6.x installation it's sufficient to replace
the DLLs. All others must run a normal installation.

WPS-Wizard is a set of classes to add unique features to the WPS. It's
seamlessly integrated and offers e.g. an info area for folders showing
previews of images (eCS 1.2MR and above) and PDFs (if Lucide is
installed), a technically advanced and unique icon engine for using PNG
image files as icons, a Rexx interface to the WPS and much more.

General features:

* Icon engine for using PNG images as icons
* Icon engine allows on the fly creation of composited icons using the
Cairo library
* Configurable icon size (per folder)
* Preview of image and Lucide thumbnails (PDF files) in the folder info
area
* Configurable context menus
* Rexx interface to the WPS. Use Rexx to program the behaviour of objects
* Image files have their image as icon
* Folder toolbars
* Folder information area
* WPS stability improvements
* Works with all major WPS enhancers (XWP, EWP, BubblePad, ...)
* It's free

Icon Engine features:

* True alpha blending and transparency
* Seamless integration into the WPS including drag and drop icon
assignment and icon editing from the objects icon page
* No patching of system files
* Icon creation by specifying drawing commands which are performed on the
fly using the Cairo graphics library
  o Overlay of image files with true alpha blending
  o Line, arc, rectangle, ... drawing with true alpha blending
  o Text drawing (with, yes, alpha blending)
  o Font control
  o Rotation and translating while drawing
  o ...
* Drawing commands are simple text commands in a control file. No
recompilation necessary.
* Arbitrary icon size up to 200x200
* Icon size settable for each folder

Hi Chris

I agree with Dave. Great job on getting the template backgrounds to all
match. I can't thank you enough for your work on using PNG icons for
themes. It is nice to see large pretty icons without having to use a
magnifying glass to see them.

  Thanks Chris! Looks good here - I especially like that all Templates use
the same template icon background, regardless of the icon type.

Still a non-worker here; regular Desktop crashes/resets/hangs as with
previous versions.

Pete,

Do you add a TRAC ticket that explains the problem?
