Hi!
I have a Zyxel Prestige 600 series ADSL which connect me to the internet
over the ordinary telephone line with a speed of 20Mibi. There are four
free RJ45 connectors on the backside and on the bottom label one can
read the following info:
ADSL 2+ 4-port gateway
Prestige 660H triple play modem Model no 401315
There are four RJ45 connectors that's not used currently on the back of
the modem.
Can this modem be put to other uses than it is used now, i.e. as a
simple ADSL modem? For example, can I connect my Xerox Phaser 6120N
laser printer with a network connector to one of the unused ports and
control the printer from a web interface or PrintScout (which is on the
printer's driver CD)? Or can I redefine the printer as a network
printer? Are there other possible uses for this modem?

This 4 ports are normal Ethernet switch. So You can attach here another
computer or printer.

Looks like you have a combined modem/router with 4(or 5?) port ethernet
switch.
Presuming the "N" in Xerox Phaser 6120N idicates that the printer has
network connectivity you should be able to hook up the printer to an
rj45 port and set it up to use the SLPR printer port.
If the printer has a builtin browser interface for admin/configuration
purposes you should be able to use Firefox/Seamonkey with it.
I suggest a read of the printer documentation before experimentation :-)
