Alan,
When I added SATA to a SCSI system I had to add /!BIOS to the
DANIS506.ADD statement to get it to work. I continued to boot from the
SCSI drive so I don't if this will be of an help to you.
As to the order I have Danis506.add before oscscsi.dmd but my system has
changed to the point where SATA is the only HD and the only SCSI is a
tape drive.

Temporarily, I have an SATA drive with bootable partitions in my
previously all-SCSI machine. I have made sure that there are no
duplicated drive letters.
In the mobo BIOS I have the SATA drive set as first in the boot
sequence, and Boot Manager is installed to that drive. BUT if I put the
DANIS506.ADD driver before the SCSI driver in CONFIG.SYS, the machine
gets only as far as the boot logo screen, the drive light for the SATA
drive is lit permanently, and there it stops.
If I put the DANIS506.ADD driver after the SCSI driver in CONFIG.SYS,
the machine boots OK, but I can't make any changes connected with Boot
Manager (e.g., add or remove drives) because LVM(GUI) now counts the
SATA drive as #4 (after the three SCSI drives) -- and BM must be
installed on Drive #1 or #2.
Is there any way I can have BM on the SATA drive and have LVM(GUI)
recognize that it's there -- IOW, recognize that the SATA drive is #1?
A working compromise is to install BM on the first or second SCSI drive,
but why do I have to do that? And why won't it boot with the different
driver sequence in CONFIG.SYS?
