NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400

Hello Everyone,

I am needing video drivers for the NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400 card,
using Scitech causes PMview to crash very frequently.
Could some one suggest which Panorama drivers might be suitable ?

My system is P3 1280mbyte of ram, Scitech 3.18 drivers
Resolution is 1800x1350 on ECS RC1.2

TIA

best wishes Andrew.

That is not the experience here; SNAP seems to work fine with PMView
v2.?? - last of the v2 updates - on eCS1.2R

Looking at your other post I wonder if a memory or resources problem is
involved...

What setting do you have in config.sys for VIRTUALADDRESSLIMIT? I'm using

VIRTUALADDRESSLIMIT=1536

Does the problem still exist if you use the SNAP VESA driver? - open a
command window in the SNAP directory and type

gaoption VBE on

then reboot to test.

Just some thoughts

Pete

hello Pete,

I had my VIRTUALADDRESSLIMIT=1024, I have changed it to 1536
I can't remember why I decreased it something to do with stability
of a program. (My ram is 1280mb)
I reset the SNAP file as you suggested and will see how it goes.

Strangely Pmview 3.00 is pretty stable it seems that 3.51 is the really
flaky version for me. I like SNAP especially being able to change screen
resolution and blowing up thumb nail pics.

I just used Pmview for nearly four hours without any crashes which is a
record.(that was before I changed per your suggestions)

Thanks for your advice:)

Eugene Gorbunoff told me which panorama drivers to use if I need to

best wishes Andrew.
