Hi,
yesterday I've made a somewhat strange experience.
I put a second processor in my old HP Netserver LHPro and boot up in
SMP-Mode, no probs.
I than start to copy some large (400MB and up) files from my other pc to
the server.
I noticed that the troughput was cut down to nearly 1/3 compared to single
cpu-mode.
Reming out os2apic gives me the missing 2/3 back.
I tried this several times, everytime the same result.
Any ideas ??
System eCS 1.05
Greetings
Rainer

Your NIC driver probably doesnt handle SMP to well, I stick with Intel
and SMC cards myself, and no problems on a 2 of 4 way SMP box.
Cheers
