Hello All;
I was playing around with the newest eCS 2.0 beta last night. It is
easier to install, but! ACPI is installed automatically, this is the
newest version found on the Betazone in 'ACPI-20060704.zip'. It will not
work with an AMD dual core system and SMP support installed. The
'Management Console' seems to be broken in this drop, no 'Command Line'
sessions of any sort will open. The Networking install goes smoother, no
post install changes are needed. This install is more complete, the
last beta had missing apps and incompletely installed apps.
Does anyone know how to remove ACPI support, post install?
Does anyone have SMP working along side of the ACPI package?

I have the latest beta running in uniprocessor mode on my AMD dual-core
machine. I haven't yet tried in SMP mode, BUT the ACPI-20060704 package
was precisely what *did* enable me to get the machine running in SMP
mode with eCS 1.2MR.
What mobo, video card and NIC are you using?

Forgot to mention that AFAIK all you need to do to disable ACPI is REM
out the ACPI.PSD and ACPICA.ADD lines in CONFIG.SYS.
