CPU 0 IRQ Load high

CPU 0 IRQ Load high

Aloha all,

Upon boot, on occasion I find that I have a high cpu 0 load reading and
the system then runs at a a snails pace. A simple reboot seems to
recover. The problem is nothing more than a nuisance. I'm posting here
to see if anybody else here has experienced this and if they were able
to fix it.

Mohalo,

Yes, on several different SMP systems. I was told it is a kernel problem.

Mike,

Thank you for your reply. I guess we should wait to see if they are
able to fix the kernel.

I have IRQ issues with the old OS2APIC.PSD SMP on my dual Opteron as well. I
was hoping to get this resolved by using the new APIC.PSD driver. However,
never got it to wrok in SMP mode so far.

Let's see what the next version brings.

Cheers
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

Thank you for your reply. I tried apic.psd but never saw two cpu's
working. Pulse widget just showed one.
