Way back when, I had a Hauppauge WinTV PCI card running on a PIII system
with the WCast driver.
Now that my Dual-core AMD system is running fine in all other respects,
I have tried reinstalling that card.
The BIOS sees the card on IRQ 11, as does the PCI sniffer.
The BT32 driver will install, and the card is recognized, but the system
freezes when I try to use the accompanying BTTV program.
With the WCast driver (1.042B, the latest I can find) installed, it
refuses to load at boot time, claiming that no hardware is present. If I
add the /X1 or /X2 parameter that is supposed to force the driver to
load, the machine traps.
The results are the same with eCS 1.2R and eCS 2.0 beta 4.
Any ideas?
