more acpi on Asus M2N-E

I have now gotten the booting process to go farther, when the /apic
switch is sent to acpi.psd. The system now stops booting just before I
would expect the graphic interface to start up.

Also, there is no power saving...for instance the screen saver kicks in,
but the monitor does not suspend at any time.

On my M2N-SLI Deluxe, it works in SMP mode with ACPI 3.06 and

PSD=ACPI.PSD /APIC /SMP /!NOD

and with IRQs 3 and 5 (I think those are the ones; Pasha refers to 3, 5,
and 7, but not all of those are available for changing on my mobo) set
to Reserved in the mobo BIOS.

Thanks I'll give it a try. I used all of those switches together
already, but not in the same order, maybe that will make a difference.

I cannot get access to IRQ 3, but I have reserved 5 & 7 already.

I am getting a new error as well, when I start a dos window session or a
windows window session I am getting an error about not supporting the

Didn't work. These are the last 3 messages from acpi...the only ones I
can read
