You could try Ghostview. If you have a software subscription for eCS, you
could try Lucide. Either one is at least as good as Acrobat 4.

Reinstalling InnoTek applications!

Hi!

Last fall I tried to reinstall the innotek runtime + software but was
stopped from doing this due to my Crystal audio drivers. So yesterday I
installed UniAud sound package namely uniaud114RC3.ZIP and it went
without a hitch: the system came up OK with full sound support. So now
the installation of the various Innotek packages should not bomb out due
to the crystal sound drivers. I did the following:

Ran InnotekRuntime_112b20.exe /uninstall /complete which failed with the
message "An error occured. InnoTek Runtime for OS/2 have not been
uninstalled".

I then ran InnotekRuntime_112b20.exe /update=force /directory=c:\innort
which seemed to go completion OK. Rebooted.

Then I tried to install OS2KitAcrobatReader405r4.exe so I at least could
get back Acrobat support in Mozilla, but the only thing I got was the
message "Innotek runtime not installed, please install. Installation
can't be started", and I was stuck completely.

I just visited the www.innotek.de site to try locating fresher versions
of the innotek runtime and the os2kitacrobatreader405r4.exe but couldn't
find any of the them on the site - the only software listed was Innotek
Virtualbox & Inntek hyperkernel.

So what must I do to reinstall the runtime and acrobat kit from Innotek?
If I can't install it, I'm forced to use XP to view webpages containing
Acrobat documents, and that would be a shame and a BIG hassle for me
having to reboot to XP every time I want to read Acrobat document in
Mozilla.

You could install Lucide and define it as helper application in Mozilla.
Then at least you can view pdf-files in Mozilla. You must not have
Acrobat plugin in plugin folder.

It's a long time since I've used Acrobat, as Lucide usually does the jon
just fine. The other day, however, I encountered a document where Lucide
failed to display some text, but all was visible using Acrobat --
presumably a font problem.

I have myself no problem with innowin and uniaud. I think your version
InnotekRuntime_112b20.exe is the latest. Maybee someone can help you out
with this, but haven't you thought of upgrading to eCS? Then you also
