| Updates to Domino GoWebserver 4.6.2.6 ? |
 |

Hi all,
are there any known (and easily available) updates that apply to Lotus
Domino Go WebServer 4.6.2.6 (the version that comes with WSeB) ?
Each time I try installing this piece of software on either eComStation or
WSeB CP2, the system freezes when Domino starts (be it a real system or a
virtual machine). If I manage to kill Domino (using ctrl+escape on WSeB,
TOP on eCS), then the system goes back to normal, which confirms that
Domino (or the interaction of Domino with something else) is causing it to
crash.
So I would appreciate if you could tell me:
- If you ever experienced this issue and how you solved it (if you solved
it)
- about any patch/fixpak available for LDGWS 4.6.2.6 and where to download
it.
Thanks all !
AyPP
NB: Still nobody who got an idea for the solution to my "SYS3012: The
program cannot fit in memory." problem that happens when I try installing
the very old Aldus Pagemaker for OS/2 ?

I've been running LDGW for years. I haven't seen the problem that you
describe. If you really have WSeB CP2, aren't you actually running
4.6.2.8? Not that it makes any difference. I used both and never had
that problem. I'm not sure what to tell you.
I don't think any fixes are available -- at least from IBM.
There is another product, Lotus Notes, that is called Domino, so it is
best not to use "Domino" to refer to this software.
Good luck,

Sorry, no idea on the Domino question.
The Pagemaker problem is weird. I bet you have more RAM installed than
the app would ever expect to find in a pc. Not sure how to resolve
that... apart from physcally changing RAM to something about right for
the time period that version of Pagemaker hails from - 32 or 64Mb maybe.
A quick Google for SYS3012 problems reveals a few posts - but all are
related to running DOS apps. Is this Pagemaker really an OS/2 version?
Do you need Pagemaker or will alternative software help? - there is a
beta port of Scribus that may be of use
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/scribus/scribus-1.3.3.11-os2-beta1.zip

Hi Pete,
yes the installer is a DOS program... I tried running it in a virtual
maching with decreased memory (as low as 16MB) but it did not solve the
problem (just made the VM incredibly slow...).
As for Scribus, I know about it, but I just wanted to see what PageMaker
for OS/2 looked like. Just for the fun of telling people that I run
PageMaker on my favorite OS ;)
