ECS 1.2R - VT8251

I'am trying to install ECS 1.2R on my new computer
MSI Motherboard MS-7318 with VIA Chipset (south bridge is VT8251) 
Only Serial ATA hard drives 

Installation stops with c000005 DOSCALL1.DLL 0002:0000a499

Using the latest Danis506.add driver (1.8.1)
2 Hard drives present.
Including de option /VL option (danis506.add)in config.sys gives 
the message :

Controler:0  Port:FC00 IRQ:0B status ok busmaster scatter/gather
unit 0 status :ok SMS:16 LBA busmaster NOSPEED BPB
model ST3320820AS
Controler:1  Port:F400 IRQ:0B status ok busmaster scatter/gather
unit 1 status :ok SMS:16 LBA busmaster ULTRA DMA2/PIO4 BPB
model ST3320820AS

My first hard drive isn't seen by the system!!!
Is there a solution ?

P.s. different Linux distros have also difficulties with this south 
bridge!!

I think the solution may be to follow the procedure Dani prefers when 
reporting errors/problems - have a look through the docs included with 
danis506  :-)
