On a MSI K9A2 Platinum at all. I install it and it crashes on the
reboot. After the initial install and disk set up. I do not have one

Sounds like something not right possibly in the created config.sys file...
Which version of eCS?
What chipset does the K9A2 use?
Is it a dualcore cpu? - and ACPI drivers involved?
Your post is a little lacking in details...

I suspect that you are waiting for acpi support for the chipset involved.
Have you tried updating the RC4 acpi files with any of the later
packages in the betazone?

Heck, I can't get it to even boot and run with APM much less get to the
ACPI. I turned it all off to try and it still crashed after the first
