On another forum a person said he was running Flash 7 on eCS and had
jiggered it to report to web sites that it was Flash 9. I asked how he had
done that, but got no response.
My suspicious guess is that most sites that claim 9 is needed are simply
lying, so tricking them back is a sound plan. Can anyone describe how to
work the trick?
Of course, if there's a Flash 9 or 10 out there somewhere for eCS, that
would be even better.

No there is not a Flash9/10 for OS/2 systems.
Yes, there is a Flash7 package available that reports itself as Flash9.
Now, where did I see a link for it?... Aha, this useful page

Take note that most flash pages that make use of text input boxes and the
like will not function, so be warned.

Thanks, Peter. I'd been using the R19. I don't know whether it reported
itself as Flash 9.0.

Well, if you have to write in those boxes, there is a way around. Not so
handy but it works: Write in Text Editor and then copy that and paste into
box.
