BackAgain/2

Does anyone know if BA/2 (3.04) will work under eCS 1.2?
I've tried to install it, but the master floppy is dead,
and so before I try and find another copy somewhere I'd
like to know if it will actually work when I've done.

I've got a lot of tapes written under BA/2 and OS/2 that
I'd really like to recover...

That might be one of those instances where the install program
uses too small of an area of memory to hold the size of the free
space and the larger disks put a binary 1 in the sign bit due to
overflow making the program think you have a negative amount of
disk space, so it thinks there's not enough room.  One way to
work around this is to create a temporary file large enough to
make the install program see a smaller amount of free space.
After installation, you can then delete the file.

Just a thought.  You didn't mention any error message.

Because (since I posted) I've tried the demo version on Hobbes,
and that won't install; however, if you think it should run I'll
keep tinkering and hope that I can get it going, and look for a
new copy of the release version.

Have a hunt around for v4.1 which does install on eCS1.2 OK - and Google 
for the necessary Reg keys at the same time as they were posted in a 
newsgroup  :-)
