Are there drivers for the Realtek 8201CL NIC chip that is found on some 
ASUS A8V motherboards?

The mobo has a via lan chipset. I am at this point not sure about about 
its number but the readme for the windows drivers lists:
   vt6107 vt8231/vt8233/vt8235/vt8237/vt8251

The first number is for a lan chip, the second I thought was for a sound

RTL8201, RTL8201BL, RTL8201CL, RTL8201CP, RTL8201N and RTL8211B(L) are 
all PHYceiver. That is a driverless hardware device. Software driver are 
relative to Network controller ( MAC ) which is integrated into chipset
