I've never gotten SLPR to work with either of the Performance options
marked. You might try unmarking them.

I have a Laserjet 2300 with a Jet Direct card. The card is assigned
to 192.168.1.90. My computer has eCS 1.2. The printer used to work
normally when assigned to slpr 1 (address 192.168.1.90, LPD printer
auto, 4 sec timeout, high performance), but stopped working for no
apparent reason.
I also have 2 LPD ports set up in tcpip (192.168.1.90, server auto),
and my startup.cmd includes detach lprmon -b lpt1
When I assign the Laserjet to lpt1, it prints via tcpip, so I know the
JetDirect card works. However, when I assign the printer to slpr1,
the printer job does not spool, but disappears into thin air.
As I said, everything worked well until I spent time getting an Epson
777 to work on a separate wireless print server (set to 192.168.1.70),
and failing to get a Deskjet3740 to work on that same server.
I'm sure I've inadvertently changed a setting but I can't figure out
what it is. I've given the settings on the slpr page, and I've
associated the laserjet driver with the slpr output port, but nothing
happens. What am I missing?

SLPR has not been updated for some time. I finally went back to the
base LPR, and it works. I would suggest that you might want to set up
LPR ports and give them a try.

Interestingly, those work. The weird part is that SLPR worked just
fine until recently and stopped working for no reason.

I'm sure I've replied to this elsewhere...
Have you found and used the prndrv.exe utility yet?
Use prndrv -l to discover what the system has installed with regard to
printers - bet the result will be different to what you expect.
I suspect you will find mention of the Epson and HP printers that you
installed and deleted. Those entries could be the cause of printing
failure when using slpr.
