Hello,
I have a P4 running ECS 2.0 RC2 right now, and for the last 6 months
I've been fighting to get
my Mac's to see the drive shares I have configured. Windows XP
machines can all connecto to the ECS shares fine, and so can Linux
machines using Samba, but for the life of me I don't know what to do
for the mac to connect.
IT see's the share and when I attempt to connect I get an RPC error
and that's as far as I can get.
Please... If anyone is working with an OS/2 based "Server" and
MacOSX
clients please point me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Shawn

OKay. I'll give this a shot and see if it will work for what we're
doing here.

Unsure at this point, but will try that as well if the internal one
doesn't work.
Still going to be watching if anyone else has a solution... There's got to be a
setting that can be tweaked either in OSX or ECS to make this work. :)

I just installed Peter's FTPD here and it works with every FTP client
except finder. :(
Finder connects to it fine, but says I only have read access to
everything where the real
ftp clietns (terminal's ftp, transmit, safari etc.) all allow me to
delete / put files, finder is read
only.
Back to the drawing board for me. :(

This worked fine for me in Panther, but not in Tiger. I didn't spend
time solving it. Instead, I run an FTP server on OS/2, and use Connect
to Server with an FTP connection. Mac users didn't know the
difference.
I'm using Peter Moylan's FTP Server instead of the built-in OS/2 FTP
server, but that probably doesn't matter.

I'm interested in a solution to this problem as well.
I have a Mac running OSX Leopard, and I can't access my eCS boxes. I've
tried using the Samba Server, but keep getting a "Permission Denied"
error
to the Samba shares I've set up. I can get from the eCS boxes to the Mac
using the new EVFS tools or with Net Drive, but I can't get from the Mac
to eCS shares.
I haven't yet tried putting an FTP server up on the eCS side, maybe that's
the solution.
Hints/Tips are gratefully appreciated.
