| VirtualPC can't run VirtualPC? |

I have a need to run Virtual PC inside Virtual PC. This doesn't seem
to work.
All my machines are OS/2 and eComStation. I use the OS/2 version of
VPC to run Windows 2000 and Cisco VPN software. The Windows 2000
virtual machine then joins the remote network. I need to have an OS/2
machine in the remote network, so I attempted to run Virtual PC 2004
on my virtual Windows 2000.
I got an internal error. Has anyone actually done this?

I installed VPC 2004 inside my VM but didn't actually try to run
anything in it... was just wanting to get to the files. If the base
system is ok to access the remote network then what I do is run a
socks server within the VM running the Cisco VPN and setup a socks
file on the host machine to point to the VM to access the remote
network. It *can* be done via NAT connection but isn't very reliable,
the virtual switch setup is _much_ better.

Not exactly, the problem is that these are not emulators but rather
virualise the enviroment, you might thus try and see if it works with
SVISTA, I recall getting either SVISTA running in a VPC or the other way
around

I know that SVista won't run in SVista. I would suspect that you would
not be able to get any virtual system to run inside of any other
virtual system, unless the new harware support will allow that to
work.

VPC used to be able to do just that, this is probably due to a better
recompler, VPC after all started life as an emulator not a virtualiser
