| What to do if Virtual PC for OS/2 Hangs |
 |

A while back I read a question that someone had about Virtual PC for OS/2
Hanging. I believe that was on the Innotek website and since SUN acquired
Innotek, all the information is gone which is too bad because there was
good OS2 and eComStation information there. None of the downloads are
available either.
So, the question was, "why does Virtual PC hang... I cant get it to start
and my whole computer hangs..."
Two things have worked for me:
1) do a chkdsk on all disks.
2) reinstall (a pain) or have a backup directory of VPC and copy back all
the EXE and DLL and SYS files.
Sometimes if you are running VPC and you get a trap this can happen.
Replacing the files usually does the trick.

That's wrong. It's all still there.

I use VPC, and while the guest crashes frequently, the host seems
pretty solid. The only thing that consistantly screws up VPC is
running out of memory.

Wy don't use the VPC installer?

ACK. I never had problems on using the installer to repair things on
the host. Innotek made it pretty well.
