I have one user where GNOME freezes and Continually Crashes. When I
create a new user and start GNOME, it works fine for that user. In the
user's home directory, I deleted the .gnome and .gnome2 directories.
However, when I restart GNOME for that user, the same thing happens. Is
there a way to troubleshoot this? I would like to do something other than
recreate the user.
I am running SuSE 10.2 (32bit) on a P4 (1.7Ghz) 768MB RAM. I've applied
all of the updates and patches. Any help would be appreciated.

If you really wanted to be helpful you'd be running KDE on the clients
desk ........
Having said that I'd suggest running an alternative de or wm and see what
happens
Also, is it the entire system or just the de/wm that crashes? If so is
Beryl or Compiz or XGL running?

I am running KDE for that user. It's only the window manager that
crashes. The system continues to work. GNOME works for all of the other
users.
