| X Won't Start? |

Hello,
I've been having fits getting X to start on my Lenovo X60 Tablet.
Everything was running fine, when I decided to go into Sax and enable the
tablet portion on my tablet. Now when I reboot my computer, X won't
start automatically. If I log in as me I get an error that it "cannot
create server lock file: /tmp/X0-lock". However if I login as root, x
starts up without any problems. Except of course for the fact that I am
now running as root.
There were three saved Xorg.conf file in my /etc directory, which I have
tried with no success.
Where is the next place to check for a solution? I do have Compiz-Fusion
enabled. Could that be the issue? Though it was working fine for
several days before I decided to go mucking about.

Remove the file as root, then try starting X as a normal user.

I actually went out and looked, and that file didn't exist. I found that
if I boot using the Failsafe option and then "init 5" everything
starts
up fine. So, after playing around with boot options, I have found that
everything works when I add the "acpi=off noapic" options.
Any idea why this would be needed all of the sudden?

Tim,
I haven't got the slightest idea.
I'm still wondering about the file error. Can you create the file manually? File
rights for "/tmp" should be drwxrwxrwt
