Hi Malcom,

i have since long time the same problem with getting the Serverscreen
with your following suggestions:

---
Go to Configure Desktop (Personal Settings) -> Internet & Network
then -> Desktop Sharing

I Allow uninvited connections, Announce service on the network and
Allow uninvited connections to control the desktop. Up to you
if you want a password (recommended obviously).
----
On a PC with XP IE Browser on http://IPadreess:5801 I get the screen
for login (root) and after root and password a new Console Screen. This
is working fine, but I like serverscreen.
I tryed also the port 5800, 5802, 5803, and 5900,5901, and 5902.
The Firewall is not enabled.
What else can I do?

Hi
It was Chris's suggestion ;-)
There will probably be a directory in the /root users
directory .x11vnc? Or some configuration file for root user that will
need to be modified to enable the GUI desktop. Have a look at the man
pages.
