What is the default bootloader that SuSE 10.0 uses?
What command should I use to find this out?

By default it uses grub. You can check a running system using YaST:
YaST/System/Boot loader/Boot Loader Installation.

Thanks!
I was comparing dual booting with KUbuntu and I noticed that it did not
automatically set GRUB up to boot Windows.
When I had tried a dual boot with Windows and SuSE 10.0 (2 1/2 years
ago) I don't remember having to fool around with editing GRUB's
configuration files, it just worked, it just was able to boot my
Windows partition without a fuss.
With KUbuntu, it apparently did not set things up that way so when my
son-in-law tried to boot into his Windows partition, it would not boot.
He thought he had lost everything and in the end, he ended up trashing
his Windows installation trying to give Windows the mbr back (He had
set up a super admin account [in safe mode]and it kept demanding a
password to get to the recovery console, that's when we ended up
unknowingly trashing the Windows installation). Then we found out after
the fact that we were supposed to edit GRUB's bootloader menu to be able
to boot and use Windows! So, to me, it shows how well SuSE 10.0 was
made.

:-)
it's possible, but pretty difficult to erase (by error) a windows
partition from a openSUSE install...
