Problems installing with a RAID controller?

Hi there,

I have had such a problem installing SUSE (of any version) using most RAID
controllers?  During the install, the Yast recognizes my controller, shows me
all kinds of details about it (actually, too much details) but, it does not see
my logical drive(s)?  Instead, it will only see my physical [individual]
drives?

I've tried this with SCSI controllers and with SATA controllers?  I'm not sure
if I'm doing something wrong (sure I am) or if the driver needs to be of a
specific version/build?
