| Yast changes to MTA do not stick |
 |

Hi and thanx for helping.
I am attempting to configure the Mail Transfer Agent for Suse 10.3
64bit. However, any changes I make to Mail Transfer Agent via Yast do
not stick. When I exit Yast and relaunch, the values I populated on
previous run, are cleared. Also, on Suse 10.2, after configuring MTA,
I would be prompted for "Incoming Mail" parameters. However, with
Suse
10.3, after configuring "Outgoing Mail" parameters, I get returned to
previous dialog box.
I have tailed /var/log/messages but nothing is shown when I do this.
Here's the uname -a output in case this helps troubleshoot.
2.6.22.5-31-default #1 SMP 2007/09/21 22:29:00 UTC x86_64 x86_64 x86_64
GNU/Linux
thanx again.

I finally figured it out. Here's the solution in case anyone else runs
into the problem. I was able to get more error message via yast2 (I
was using yast.) The output led me to this page...
'[Bug 343590] New: yast2 users list -- fails with 'Can't locate
Net/IMAP.'
Which in turn led me to install perl-NetxAP
All is good now.
