lots of abandoned named pipes left in /tmp

lots of abandoned named pipes left in /tmp

On a Fujitsu Siemens notebook with openSUSE 10.3, I find quite a lot of
named pipes with names like:

/tmp/AtiXUEvent00000d57_08078b20

lying around in the /tmp directory. From the name, I'd guess it's the
ATi display driver that leaves them lying around, and the dates seem to
indicate it does one per X session.

Is that normal?

TIA

Tilman,

I usually don't care what is in tmp. If it nags you, set cron to clean up.
sysconfig editor, system, cron.
