PlayStation 3 and Open SuSe 10.3

HI,

I have just purchased a PS3, however I have found it does not quite 
suite my needs.  I want to be able to watch my DVDs from my NAS.  (I 
don't want to convert them)

I don't think PS3 supports this at the moment :-( they can see the vob 
file but not the IFO so the fully DVD won't play.

So now I have a plan to install OS 10.3.  I have read the doco's seem 
not too bad.  The only question I have is anyone else doing this.  Does 
it work well.

The plan is to use
10.3
KDE
XINE and or VLC

This is what I use on my desktop.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated
