| Novell client will NOT RUN no matter what I do |

Hi all. This is way past frustrating. I have the novell client
installed (as well as the tray icon setting and novell connections
setting). I'm new to SUSE but can navigate my way fairly easily. I
have all three above installed and the ability to set up the novell
client settings. NONE of my novell applications work except groupwise.
I've updated all critical and non critical. I can not make this work
and I can't seem to find the place to set permissions in the YaST
control center. I'm at a total standstill. any help is appriciated.

Mark,
if it is only the Novell client that bothers you, please ask in the
oes.client.linux forum. Don't forget to tell people which Opensuse version you
are using, and which version of the client.

Thanks Uwe. I see you everywhere! I'm not totally sure how all this
works yet. I do have it posted over there still; I thought I had it
fixed but I don't. I have it installed but it won't run so i'll go
check. Thanks!

I tried looking fo your post in the other forum but I couldnt find it
.
What Client version are you using and what SuSe version ? Did you see
any install errors and or missing dependicies upon installation ? The
NCL can be sometimes a PITA to get running on SuSe.

I am running the 2.0 client. on 10.3 SUSE desktop. I found no errors
during the intall or missing dependencies. Well I had previously. I
have tried this three times so I put the old 1.2 client on then updated
it accordingly. This last install that I ran I had no errors. I can
see novfsd running in services but don't know if I should be looking
for something else as well; other processes associated with it?
