please install build and header files

I was trying to install an application and got an error telling me to
install the build and header files for my kernal (2.6.22.5-31-default)
and im not really sure what it means

Sounds like it wants to compile a module (aka driver).

Simply install the kernel-source rpm that matches your kernel version. I'm
guessing, but I would expect the kernel-source rpm to be named like this:

   kernel-source-2.6.22.5-31

What do you use to install files? Yast? If so, do a search for
kernel-source.
