| SLES 8.0 and Java App running |

Hello,
I had to recently install a java application that runs as a daemon on
the box. On the SLES 8 boxes when the application starts up it creates
like 15 processes of it, but on our SLES 9.0 or 9.3 it only creates 1
instance which is correct. I'm afraid that this is causing the
application that interfaces with it to be slower then usual.
On these SLES 8.0 starts I had to upgrade them to Java 1.4.2 for this
application to work correctly. Thanks for any help on this.

SLES8 is no longer in general support; see
http://www.novell.com/rc/docrepository/public/14/basedocument.2007-11-05.205678
7955/4611159_f_en.pdf
for details on a maintenance extension for it.
