Linksys wireless print

Linksys wireless print
Thu, 25 Jan 2007 11:21:15 GMT
Hi,

I've purchased a Linksys wireless printserver. I works fine with my Windows
machines in my office, but when I try to print from my Linux box, I get a
problem.

The setup I have tried in yast is as following:

New printer.
Network printer.
Write directly to a network printer
Remote LPD queue
Hostname for remote printserver (have tried both IP adress and name of the
server)
Test remote LPD access - fail

Does anybody have a clue how to do this right?

I use a dlink... for me it's the IP address and the print queue
name which on a dlink is simply 'lp'

This is a bit strange. I have set up the printer via yast. I went then to
the kde control panel - printers, and set up page size to a4. then it
worked. thanks for your answer anyhow.
