HP C4280 printer on SuSE 10.0 or 10.2?

HP C4280 printer on SuSE 10.0 or 10.2?

Hi folks,

My daughter's heading off to college this fall, and needs a new printer.
The HP C4280 all-in-one looks perfect, but I can't tell if there are
print and scan drivers that will work with it. Her machine is running
SuSE 10.0 currently, or I can upgrade it to 10.2.

Somewhat related, my own machine is on 10.2, and when I go into
YAST2->hardware->printers the "building database of drivers"
dialog
hangs at 4% with the CPU pegged at 100%. Have to use xkill to clear it
out. Any fixes for this? I thought I'd try to pretend-configure the HP
printer to see if it came up on the supported list.

Thanks,

Excellent! Thanks for the link; looks like it is supported.

Now I just need to dust off the C compiler... Any RPMs already built?

Never mind... I see it's already on Pacman, and even the right version!

Thanks again,
