I am having problems loading the driver for my Canon Pixma iP4200
printer. I am new to Linux, and any help would be greatly appreciated

I go to the control center, click on printers, then 'add printer' I go
through all of the options, hit apply, throw in my root password when
it asks for it, then nothing.
