Ngrep/Tcpdump not working with new Kernel

Ngrep/Tcpdump not working with new Kernel
Thu, 07 Feb 2008 13:46:02 GMT
Hi All,

I have upgrade to kernel 2.6.22.16-0.1-default. When I run tcpdump
or ngrep I now get the following error :

socket: Address family not supported by protocol: Address family not
supported by protocol

I assuming a network change was made in the kernel and ngrep and
tcpdump will no longer work without a rewrite of the source code. Can
anyone confirm? Also can you recommend a packet sniffer that will work
with the chnages that were made in this kernel?

Thanks.

Tom
